TECHNIQUE - PLEASE READ FIRST: RAW-EDGE FUSIBLE APPLIQUE

This is a raw-edge fusible applique pattern. The templates print at FINISHED SIZE with NO seam allowance and NO dashed turn-under lines, and they come as numbered full-size layout sheets - not as separate cut-out pieces. You trace each shape onto paper-backed fusible web, iron it to your fabric, cut on the drawn line, peel, press it in place, and stitch over the raw edge with a blanket or narrow zigzag stitch. Paper-backed fusible web is required. This is NOT a turned-edge / needle-turn pattern, and there are no dotted seam-allowance lines to turn under.

This exhilarating coastal scene bursts with the full drama of a clifftop in bloom, rendered in bold, graphic folk-art style. Richly faceted cliffs in deep reds, burnt oranges, mahogany, and gold plunge toward a sparkling sea of cobalt, teal, and turquoise, their bases edged with frothy white breakers. Above, a sweeping sky moves from vivid blue through lavender, coral, and pink, filled with billowing cream and peach clouds and a pair of soaring white seagulls with crisp black wingtips.

In the foreground, a glorious riot of wildflowers steals the show — velvety hot-pink carnations, tall violet lupins, cheerful red phlox, and bold orange black-eyed Susans jostle together against lush dark green foliage. Every element is cleanly outlined and shaped for satisfying raw-edge fusible applique, making this a truly joyful project to cut, arrange, and fuse. The combination of geometric cliffscape and free-form botanicals gives quilters a wonderfully varied and rewarding make.
